We have been striving to keep our Eco School status this year. As a result of the hard work of the the Eco Committee supported by Mrs McCallum and Mrs Rennie, we are proud to announce that we have been awarded our 2nd Green Flag. This highlights that here at Blacklands we are committed to working in a sustainable way and reducing our carbon footprint.
The whole school entered the Royal Highland Education Trust (RHET) ‘Grow, Cook, Eat’ competition. Groups or classes had to choose an item of Scottish grown produce and create a poster detailing how you would grow, cook and eat it. Primary 1 came third in the Ayrshire wide competition!!
